PLTC Funding

The Yukon Law Foundation provides assistance toward Professional Legal Training Course (PLTC) expenses. Up to $1,500 financial assistance is available to Yukon articling students attending bar admission courses outside of the territory. Disbursement of funds is dependent on the applications received.

The criteria for such assistance are:

1) Intention to return to practise law in Yukon; and

2) Demonstration of financial need.

This is not intended to replace funding normally provided by your employer to attend PLTC.

If you meet these requirements, funding may be paid directly to you. Failure to include any of the required information may result in the immediate rejection of your application.

Please e-mail your completed application to: execdir@yukonlawfoundation.com.

PLEASE NOTE: The Yukon Law Foundation Board requires articling students who are awarded scholarships to sign a Return and Repayment Agreement. This agreement would require articling students who do not return to Yukon to repay the scholarship money awarded to them. Contact the Law Foundation for further details.
